Two years after the promotion of the biggest forestry event of the Americas, the next edition of Expoforest – Brazilian Forestry Fair is scheduled. It runs in 2018 from April 11-13th in the Ribeirão Preto area, São Paulo State. According to Malinovski, the company responsible for the fair, the time and location was decided based off a recent study. "We analyzed all the essential aspects like logistics, hotels, airports and roads," said Jorge R. Malinovski, general director of Malinovski.
At first, Expoforest was going to be promoted every three years, but the schedule has been changed to every four years due to its local and international growth. This decision was made based on two aspects: the international dynamic forestry fair schedule and the request of Expoforest’s board management, formed by Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu Forest, and Ponsse.
Talking with International Paper was very important for the set up. “When we decided the year of the fair, IP proved to be very helpful in finding the best location for it to take place. We visited several of the company’s areas until we decided that the 207-hectare property located in the Ribeirão Preto area was best suited to the fair. It’s a partnership that grows stronger every edition," said the general director of Malinovski.
Expoforest will be the biggest as well as the best international forestry fair in 2018. For Malinovski’s team, the 4th edition will show the strength of Brazil's forestry sector, and how each year it improves on technology and productivity, thus ensuring a promising future.
The organization also expects the consolidation of the fair as a business environment, where visitors will find effective technologies for planted forests best suited to their personal production.
